I wanting to know wha the gear ratio specifications are for a euro spec ITR schaltgetriebe and a VTi Aerodeck schaltgetriebe are. What the final drive ratios and whats the differance in the shift gearing. If some one could properly translate thanks. I am buying a new one but havent decided which would be better with a boosted B16.

Translated: Weiß jemand die Getriebeübersetzungen eines Euro-Spec ITR (DC2) u. eines VTi Aerodeck (MC2)? Wie sind die Achsübersetzungen (Final) u. wie unterscheiden sich die beiden Getriebe? Ich will mir ein neues kaufen aber habe mich noch nicht entschieden welches besser für Boost geeignet ist.

ITR (DC2):

1st - 3.230
2nd - 2.105
3rd - 1.458
4th - 1.034
5th - 0.787
Final - 4.785

The aerodeck has the B18C4 but I don't know what tranny.
Maybe the same as the Integra SiR-G. If it is, then that are the ratios:

1st - 3.230
2nd - 1.900
3rd - 1.360
4th - 1.034
5th - 0.787
Final - 4.400
(not sure for 100%)

thanks. I think like ACE told me the ITR tranny has a shorter ratio and not good for boost but better for NA. I think your final drive ratio is a bit off it should be a 4. something not 3.00 other gears look about right I am not sure though. I'll probably go with the Aerodeck VTi tranny, longer gears and still has factory LSD.

Ah, sorry lol.

Final is 4.785/4.400. The 3.000 is reverse :D

Thanks. Yeah power at that time was at or over 250whp at 9psi. No i am running 10-2psi which should get me around 300whp. I am getting my transmission fixed. I bought a quaife ATS LSD and stage 2 gator axles. So if you know the guy with the Vortech ITR tell him to watch out he owes me another run.

Hi Chris,

Here are the original B18C4 ratios out of my factory manual.

1st 3230
2nd 1900
3rd 1360
4th 1034
5th 0848
Reverse 3000
Final drive 4266

Just another quick thing, you know that we should re-tune your setup if you went that high with the boost level. I think the afr should not be too off but we should check everything again though. 50whp more is a nice bunch of extra power.:wink:

Once my tranny is back together and i am running again I'll be getting with you for the retune. It sucks i had to spend the kind of money i did just on my transmission i could of used that money to build my motor. But its fine cause the quaife lsd and upgraded axles will make my car better to handle the power i want to make in the future.

Worse than that, with that power we should definitely start about upgrading your stock bottom end. 300whp are asking for aftermarket rods at least. Forged pistons wouldn't be a bad thing either. :wink:

i bought stage 2 gator axles. rated the same as DSS stage 2 axles. With the money i just spent to fix my transmission and get my car running again its looks like its going to be awhile before i can do the engine internal upgrade, would be nice to get some sponsorship or something. I'll just try and save some more, Army doesnt pay shit.
