Hi there, I came to this Forum on advice of a member her, thanks again for the link Buggs 8)

Driving Honda for a few years now.
Started in 2000 with a ED7, then 2 years later upgraded to a EE9, and sold that one last year.
But the day I sold it I allready missed it, so after a few weeks of searching I found a nice project EE9.
Car was damaged, engine was busted so there was a whole lot to do.
But now its in tip-top condition again.

And the EE9 I have now is a Original Dutch EE9.
Honda only imported 40 EE9's to Holland in 1990-1991 and now there are only 27 or so left in Holland.
So they are becomming rare to see in good shape. 8)

Here are some pics of my 1st EE9
http://members.home.nl/pav-oud/IMAG0413.JPG
http://members.home.nl/pav-oud/IMAG0415.JPG

That was a nice car to see, which had some nice JDM goodies, such as:
- 15" Mugen MR5 wheels
- EF9 Rear Spoiler with LED lighting
- J's Racing front bumper lip
- Mugen 4-2-1 header (the real deal)

And this is my new EE9, it has the following modifiactions done so far.
- Apexi World Sport catback
- Mugen 4-2-1 Header
- EF9 Rear Spoiler
- Genuine Honda EF9 Door Decals

And things that need to be installed in the near future.
- Weitec coilover set
- Various engine upgrades, cams, pistons etc etc
- New rims....dont know which ones yet, I had a set of 15" Mugen RNR's in White, but I sold them.
Maybe I'll install my 16" OZ SuperLegerras.....or should I sell them.......hmmm choices choices :D

Anyway here are the pics

Hi Patrick, I think we found a new rim for you car :P :D

No way, then I go with the other choice which VooDoo gave us........the M7's
I dont like the Sparco's :P

Man I just love those wheels, but so hard to find a good set in 4x100 :/

It looks so hot on a EF.
http://gallery.sirfanaticsholland.com/albums/userpics/10002/05_3.jpg

But now that even ROTA has a M7 knockoff wheel its not good to know that there are people out there rolling on those ROTA and pretending to be M7's.
But I would love a set of real ones though :P

Well its been a while since I last posted some pics and updates here, so time for some new stuff. 8)

I've had a Weitec lowering-kit installed and now I have some new wheels ready to be installed.

First the lowering of the car.

Before

After
http://members.home.nl/pav-oud/IMAG0547.JPG
http://members.home.nl/pav-oud/IMAG0542.JPG

Also painted some cornerlights amber to get the JDM look 8)
http://members.home.nl/pav-oud/new/IMAG0553.JPG
http://members.home.nl/pav-oud/new/IMAG0554.JPG

And now the new wheels, I had some 16" OZ Super Legerras which had some damage, so I had them fixed and repainted.
Next week they are getting on the car. So even more new pics next week I hope.

Pics of the wheels.

http://members.home.nl/pav-oud/new/IMAG0568.JPG
http://members.home.nl/pav-oud/new/IMAG0569.JPG

And a small example how it will look on my car, I just put the wheel in front of my current wheel.
The wheels wont be so low under the fenders, since the wheels have a ET37 Offset that wont be possible
unless I roll the fenders I think, but my mechanic friend told me that I would be surprised how low I could go.
We will see next Friday on my birthday, then I have the whole day of from work.

Update new pics of my ride, taken today.

Finally decided what wheels I was gonna roll on, and they are 16" OZ Super Legerras painted in Gunmetal.
The idea was to get them in the original OZ Antracite color, but they turned out darker, but I like it. :)
Car is lowered using a Weitec kit, I dont know exactly how low it is right now, but my guess its about 5-6cm lower.
The tires fit nicely in the wheelarches so it fills the gap up nice.

So its been awhile since I placed a update here, and there is need for a little update :D

I sold my 16" OZ Super Legerras this week and I also picked up some new wheels this week.
The new wheels are 15" Lenso VDP's with Toyo Proxes T1-R in 195-50-15.
Wheels and tires have been used for <3000km, so actually pretty new.

Here are some pics which my personal photographer took last night

So I only took the small HKS box containing the gaskets/bolts and instruction manual.

Thank you for your comment, that really means alot to me.
My goal is to make it as original as possible, and I think this was a BIG step into that direction.
But I never really had any outragious styling on my car :D

So it has been like what, more then 6 months since I last posted a update here.
Alot has happend, the weather is getting better again (thank god) so it was time for some new wheels.
I've started the search for something old-school and truly JDM
I found these wheels.

http://85.17.151.31/225500001-225550000/225512401-225512500/225512443_6_DKgb.jpeg

These are wheels from the brand: Hayashi Racing.
Specs: 4x100 1-piece, ET42, 6,5JJ and they weigh only 5,8kg without tires.
I had the wheels fitted with Bridgestone Turanza ER300 tires, I didnt want Toyo Proxes T1-R again :D

Then another update
I was tempted to buy a set of 16" OZ Super Legerras this week, but then something else came on my path which I have bought

No not another set of wheels, this time its something else, I hope this doesnt become the same addiction to me as wheels gayfight

I bought this, a JDM B18C engine from a 96+ spec ITR :woohoo:
http://i21.ebayimg.com/04/i/000/bd/e5/2ef6_1.JPG

I will have the same engine-swap like CRX-Flo here on HP.de, so he is my inspiration for this swap.
He is also providing some technical support

So dusting of this topic, but there is a little project in progress right now
I recently bought a JDM B18C engine block, and today was the first day that we prepped the car for the swap.
I made a few pics of the stages of the parts which needed replacing.
I was in charge of these parts, my mechanic friend Hans was prepping my EE9 for the removal of the B16A1 block tomorrow, we both made some nice progress

The pics:
http://members.home.nl/pav-oud/Afb019.jpg
The above was the old waterpump, the bottom one was the new one, on the original there are 22 "teeth" for the cambelt.
The new one only has 19 "teeth", the cambelt did fit but and according to my mechanic it should be no problem since the tentioner did put enough tention on the belt.

http://members.home.nl/pav-oud/Afb020.jpg
New tentioner and waterpump installed

http://members.home.nl/pav-oud/Afb021.jpg
I nice top-down view of the insides, it looks very clean inside, no dark spots

http://members.home.nl/pav-oud/Afb022.jpg
Old rusty heatshield

http://members.home.nl/pav-oud/Afb023.jpg
Old rusty OEM header

http://members.home.nl/pav-oud/Afb024.jpg
Header removed, cleaned the places where the gasket is going to be fitted and plugged the holes so no bugs or Gremlins can get into my engine gayfight

A few shots of the engine bay of my EE9, a little blurry pics, but they were taken with my Nokia 6300 in the dark without flash.
Last 2 pics made with night-vision on :D

http://members.home.nl/pav-oud/Afb026.jpg
http://members.home.nl/pav-oud/Afb027.jpg
http://members.home.nl/pav-oud/Afb028.jpg
I also replaced the thermostat, but have no pictures of that since the battery of my phone was low.
Tomorrow we will be fitting the clutch and Fidanza flywheel back to the engine.
Then we will first have to remove the B16A1 from the car, since I need some parts of that engine which will be fitted to the B18C.
- Complete righthand-side motormount
- Distributor
- Injectors
- Alternator
Tomorrow-evening more pictures and maybe even a small movie clip of the engine turning over and running idle :-)

A little peak into the throttlebody, which was verry dirty.
I cleaned that today, now the throttle response on the gas pedal is much better.
Because of all the dirt and grease there was in the butterfly the gas pedal kept sticking at first, now not anymore.
Thats all the pics I took yesterday, at the end there was alot of exitement if it would start and fit, but it did.
Take some pictures of the engine bay later tonight, I'm off now

Well it has been more then 1 week ago since the swap took place, and it turned out great.
The engine turned over on the first try and it runs silky smooth.
Last thursday I had the ECU chipped/tuned to make most of the power inside the B18C.
And that turned out great, especially in the upper RPM region it really keeps pulling hard.

Yesterday I had a little sprint-race against a DC2 ITR and I won that one :D
In 1st and 2nd gear the ITR was faster, but once I shifted into 3rd I started overtaking him, in 4th I left him behind. gayfight

Today we started with the new 282mm brake disc and caliper swap from a MG ZS180/ZR160
We first tried 1 side to check if everything was a P&P job like people told me.
And it was, all the holes on the brackets of the caliper were the same on my car.
So it was a nice and easy swap, away with the old stuff, and on with the new stuff

So after everything was fitted and the brake lines were bled Hans took it out for its first test drive,
but he shortly returned to the garage because he felt the brake-pedal loosing pressure.
So back on the lift and check out the brake lines, which were brand new.
And we did found a small leak that was causing the loss in pressure.
So we re-fitted the original brake lines for the side that was leak and re-bled the system.
This time no problems and the pressure stayed were it should.
So I have contacted the shop that sold me the brake-lines about this, I havent gotten a answer yet, but they give out a lifetime warranty on defect, so this should cover that warranty.
But since the shop is located in Canada and I bought these on Ebay I hope they will send me another one, free of charge, and I return the faulty one.

Here another good explenation of the 2 grooved options

- If the supplier's instructions elude to the need to throw dirt/water/heat out and away from the disc then fit this way:

http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o184/tyrell68/discsback.jpg

- If the instructions elude to having to have constant airflow to the grooves to aid cooling, then fit this way round:

Well a small update from this side, a few weeks ago I bought a set of 16" OZ Super Tourismo's
They were originally made for a Renault so not the normal Super Tourismo model, slightly different.
But with the sizes 16" ET43 and 6,5JJ perfect for a Honda.

Since they were silver and I didnt like that, I wanted to paint them myself in a colour of bronze,
which didnt go that well, it turned out kinda orange.

So I decided to have them professionally powdercoated in a darker antracite color, today was the day that I picked them up, and here are the pictures.

http://members.home.nl/pav-oud/100_0827.jpg
http://members.home.nl/pav-oud/100_0828.jpg

The edge of the rim is darker then the center but I think that gives a really nice effect.
Yesterday I purchased 2 Falken ZIEX 912 tires to go on the wheels, I still had 2 good Yokohame S-Drives in storage.

Roaring_VTEC
25.08.2008, 18:44
I also started my new OZ centrecaps project.

I bought these matt grey with red lettering from Ebay brand new, but when I got them I allready noticed that it could be a problem
fitting the wheels,
and I was right, the new caps didnt fit, so I had to use the old bottom-caps to make the new caps fit.

http://members.home.nl/pav-oud/100_0830.jpg

From left to right
- original cap that were on the wheels, all in bad condition, so needed new ones.
- I removed the original top-cap from the bottom piece, which was luckily only glued down a little.
- In the center the new caps, which didnt fit.....yet
- So I took my Dremel and cut and grinded of all the plastics that was in the way to glue the new caps to the old bottom pieces.
- Last one shows the new cap on old bottom piece all gleud down.

Well I had my 2nd dynoday in 2 weeks today and I was impressed with the gain in HP, but I lost some torque numbers.

My numbers from today:

COLUMN MAXIMUMS
Test: ZR-70-YL-AEM-CAI-20-12-2008
DIN Corrected Wheel Power vs. RPM
Range: 1857 RPM - 9327 RPM
EngSpd: 9346 RPM @9346 RPM
DINWhp: 181.3 CHp @8099 RPM
DINEhp: 210.3 hp @8164 RPM
DINEnm: 190.3 Nm @6427 RPM
Losses: 37.3 hp @9324 RPM
DINCor: 0.97 Factor @8766 RPM
ElpsTm: 24.2 Secnds @9327 RPM
Speed : 163.8 kmh @9346 RPM
A/FRat: 0 AFR @1857 RPM

From 2 weeks ago without the AEM CAI I gained
5.3Ehp, 7.3Whp and lost 7.2Nm of torque.
There also is a strange dip in the powercurve before the VTEC crossover, wasnt there also 2 weeks ago.
There were more people today who had this dip in the curve, those people also had a WAI or CAI installed.
Will need another ECU tune to fix that I think.

And some pictures of my engine bay with the AEM CAI installed.

Last time it was even 38hp losses, dont know how the calculate that or where the difference comes from.
I do know that I need another finetune in my ECU soon, and next year I'm planning some more mods, another exhaust, Skunk2 Pro Series intake manifold and throttlebody, maybe a EK9 exhaust cam.

We'll just see what happens :D

This year with my B16 i had ca. 30 hp losses... In 2007 only 17 hp. It was on the same Dyno, strange!:-/

Another Exhaust... 2,5" or what and which maker?

I have a few models on which I have requested a price, but all are JDM made, so it will be something good if the price is right :D

But ofcourse, if a smaller and lighter wheel improves my acceleration then yes there will be another set of wheels. gayfight

Since I haven't read the whole thread, is that a B16 or B18? C4 or C6?

So lets have a "small" update, because there is a lot that has been purchased recently :D

- Tanabe Medallion Touring catback
http://members.home.nl/pav-oud/Tanabe_EF_MedallionTouring.jpg

- JUN 4-2-1 header
http://members.home.nl/pav-oud/jun-header1.jpg
http://members.home.nl/pav-oud/jun-header2.jpg
http://members.home.nl/pav-oud/jun-header3.jpg

- Skunk2 Pro Series intake manifold
http://www.skunk2.com/images/imb.jpg

- Hondata intake manifold gasket
http://www.hondata.com/images/gaskets/b18c.JPG

- Omnipower throttlebody 70mm
http://www.omnipowerusa.com/uploads/images_products_large/136.jpg

- MOMO hub, there will be a MOMO steering wheel following shortly.
I had the chance to own a original brand new Mugen MOMO steering wheel on Ebay, but I was outbid in the last few seconds.

OBD0 -> OBD1 swap parts
- EG6 ignition
- OBD0 -> OBD1 conversion harnass
- P28 ECU
- fine-tune session from my tuner

I think this was it for now.
Catback is still underway from Japan, header I bought from Boostking here on the forum, so its being shipped from Germany.
Skunk2 manifold is in, still waiting for the Omnipower TB, then I will have to modify the manifold inlet by a few mm so it will be bigger for the bigger TB.
EG6 ignition and P28 ECU are already here, these will be fitted and installed with the OBD0 -> OBD1 swap so end of March (hopefully), but the manifold, header and catback should all be installed by then.

O yeah for the people who might be interested, now that I have bought the JUN header from Boostking my "old" HKS 4-2-1 header needs a new owner, so if anybody with a EE8/9 or B16A1 with OBD0 in something else needs a good 2-piece JDM 4-2-1 header from HKS with 2 o2 sensors points on stock locations for the B16A(1) send me a pm.
Price around 350 euro shipped.

Currently I only have pictures from the header when it was new out of the box, not how it looks like now, I can get these pictures once the header is de-installed, but people can still contact me if interested. :-)

Dont think that they will become a darker color again, I think they will be normal silver.
I had this picture as my Windows background I must say that I like it, I think the owner is a member here on Hondapower.de
And these are 15" on the picture.

Well with ET37 you cannot get to low.
Even now the rear is rubbing the fenders when cornering.
I think the Weitec kit had its best time, looking for something new and stiffer.

We were at the Nurburgring last weekend and it was a blast :D
Last year at the EE-meet was my first ever appearance on the Ring and my laptimes were then 12.15min for first lap and 11.30min for my second lap.

So I wanted to work on that time, and I did pretty good, fastest time now is 9.59 BtG, but there is much more room for improvement,
there are still parts where I can go faster.

They made some pictures of me which circulate the net

http://members.home.nl/pav-oud/IMG_7241.jpg

The webcam which is at the entry gates of the Nordschleife also took a nice one of me at the front
http://members.home.nl/pav-oud/GetAttachment.jpg

We're going back soon again, but when exactly not sure, this morning I installed my Tanabe catback which needs some more fine tuning for the fitment,
but that is only because my cat-converter is just a little to short, so I think we'll going to mount the JUN header and new cat-converter soon to make that a good fit.

O yeah, also sold the OZ Superlegeras...........but that doesnt come to a surprise to many people here gayfight
I think that this is my shortage possesion for a set of wheels, 2,5 weeks and then I decided to get rid of them, the ET value just concerned me to much.

Bought some new wheels to replace them, black with red pinstripe lip, no not Mugen RNR's :D
Will get these next week, so maybe next weekend they will be under the car, pics will follow then. :-)

Today I mounted the new wheels and also installed a new catalyst,
now my Tanabe hangs perfect under the car,
I'm now waiting for my new traction bar which will replace the stock cross-member.
When that is installed I can also finally install my JUN header,
I think that will be in about 2 weeks, then the OBD swap will also take place,
so that will be ready before the Nurburgmeet.
I dont think that the Skunk2 intake will be mounted before the meet, maybe after.....mabe not even at all.

Anyway a few pics

Tried out my buddy's RNR's 2 weeks ago and the 282mm discs with MG calipers does clear the RNR's but only when I would use a 1-2mm spacer.
So that would never be an option, but like I said I wouldnt want them anyway :D
