Ist natürlich kein CTR, den gibt es ja in Amerika nicht. Dort gibt es nur den Si/SiR ... (USA/Canada). Die Pacer Serie (Police And Community Educating Racers) sollen "take it to the track" rüberbringen, sprich: illegale Streetracings auf den Track verbannen... Ist ne nette idee finde ich.

In Toronto gibt's das auch.

Es ist somit keine Show-only lackierung.

---------------------------------
TORONTO, Sept. 11 /CNW/ - Police and Community Educating Racers program
(PACER): a police-supported; manufacturer-backed; not-for-profit organization,
that promotes legal alternatives to illegal street racing, will hold its
second drag race at Mosport International Park on Sunday September 14th, gates
open at 8:00 am and races commence at 10:00 am.
"Young drivers today are surrounded by media messages that depict street
racing as glamorous and okay," said Mathew John, CEO of the Canadian
Automotive Racers Safety Society (CARSS), which administers PACER. He noted
that it is a rare day when there is no news about the unfortunate results of a
street-racing incident in this country.
"We want to get a head-start on educating new drivers about the dangers
of street racing and aggressive driving stunts that put them, and others, at
risk of serious injury and death," Mathew said. "PACER, is launching this
program so that enthusiasts will take their racing activities to organized
events at racetracks."
The PACER program, currently being tested on a television series called
"sport compact television" 26 consecutive shows Sundays on Global T.V.,
consists of an educational message by Vancouver Police officer, Inspector
Rob Rothwell, and Mathew John. It addresses the realities of street racing,
informs the viewers about local laws regarding modifications, and provides
information about local legal alternatives.

About PACER:
PACER is a not-for-profit organization sponsored by corporations such as
Canadian Tire Corporation, Bridgestone/Firestone Canada, and created to
educate today's youth about the dangers of illegal street racing. PACER works
in conjunction with corporate sponsors and Police forces in Ontario, British
Columbia and Quebec, to open lines of communication between performance
enthusiasts and Police forces.
There is an expectation, which all persons attending this event will
abide by all the rules and regulations of the road. Safety is of the greatest
concern. If proven successful future events will be considered.
