API Klassifikationen?

Hi,

kann ich Öl mit der Klassifikation API-SM fahren, wenn API-SJ oder API-SL vorgeschrieben ist? Je höher der Alphabet hinter S, desto hochwertiger das Öl :-?

Genau, und wenn ich mich richtig erinnere steht das S für Benzinmotoren.

Das S ist für Ottomotoren
Das C ist für Dieselmotoren

je höher der nachfolgende Buchstabe ist desto aktueller die Motorölsorte

SL ist im moment gültig

also wäre es ein civic baujahr 1990 gewesen hätte ich gesagt , kipp rein das zeug.

Aber bei einen s2000? da würd eich das API SJ / SL nehmen.

Wenn es schon vorgeschrieben ist würde ich da kein risiko eingehen.

Die API SM ist höherwertiger und kann somit gefahrlos eingesetzt werden.

API-SM ist natürlich höher als SJ und SL
