Standard New to Germany, but not Honda!

    Hey gang,

I moved to Germany for work in January this year. I work in the bicycle business for Hayes Bicycle Group (Hayes Brake, Manitou suspension, SunRingle Wheels, Answer products, Wheelsmith spokes).

Anyway I am a long time Honda guy. Prior to working at Hayes I was the Director-Sales & Marketing at King Motorsports. They are the Mugen distributor in the US.

I'm living in Riedstadt, near Darmstadt/Frankfurt, and will be here for at least another year. I've got purchase a car in the next couple of months and will probably pick up an older Civic.

I'm looking to get involved with the Honda scene in Germany and attend some track days.

Below are some pictures of cars I own or have owned at one time.

Unfortunately it is off-season since november for most people. But there are several meetings in Rhein-Main (Frankfurt, Darmstadt also Mainz and Wiesbaden) apart from that. Check topic “Treffpunkt” here at the forum. Hockenheim Ring is not far from your location, maybe its an option for you in the matter of trackdays. And there are two big online marketplaces for cars in Germany, check mobile.de and autoscout24.de. Good luck by finding some Honda contacts.
