-für allerwelt in englisch mal anleitung -wie was wo- um die bremssättel von spoon an der integra-
so here is a description for the spooncalipers on the integra typeR dc2 98spec...
in the most biggest onlineshop in europe for spoonparts " spoonsportseurope.net " were some descriptions, which are simple wrong... they say/said:
"The Twin Block Calipers will only fit a 96' Spec Integra, for 98' Spec Fitment please see Monocoque Calipers"
"Plug and Play"
"only need 16" rotor"
a.s.o....
1. the twinbloc (ni55in logo is on top) [45020-DCR-G00]
fits on a 98er spec without any mods on it; oem DC2 brakepads and brakerotors (282mm)
2. the monobloc (ni55in logo is low)
[45020-MBF-G01] MBF is for MonoBloc Forward, cause the caliper sits on front... the S2000 [AP1] caliper have the ordernumber [45020-MBR-G00], so here its MonoBloc Rear, cause the caliper sits on rear...here it seems, that spoon only change the bleeder with the connectiontube (to bleed the brakepistons // must be on top of course)...the caliper is symmetrical so there´s no complexity for the fabrication...the order of the pistons are the same: little piston then big piston
so if you be the lucky dog, who have this package
don´t smile to early cause some problems exists ... Plug and Play is otherwise
1. the DC2 pads don´t fit in the caliper:
so you need the AP1 pads:
here you have to remove the little bracket for the "waste-notice" and the little nipple
thats it? now install and drive? wait please - dude ...you "could", BUT here you see, that the brakerotor is to small so the pads are braking the air yeah...following picture is DC2 rotor and AP1 pads
please check your wallet and order some AP1 brakerotors (300mm) now it seems to be better
now install and ride? no no, wait... please some patience
the brakerotors between DC2 and AP1 are different... the deepness on DC2 rotor is 45mm and AP1 is 40mm...
now its getting tricky
now you order some longer bolts (M12) and washes for the knuckle (I took extra strong [12.9] bolts cause negative acceleration is very important : ) ...
so you need the inner spacer and long hub bolts too
and if you work correctly you can put on your desmonds (evo/spoons) and have this beautiful view (next time I would clean my wheels- I know )
to be continued
sorry for my bad english
